Briarfield employs Admission Coordinators who act as liaisons between the centers and the hospitals to assist with the admission of residents. Our Admission Coordinators bring years of healthcare experience to the aid of those who choose one of our centers. When a referral is received the Admission Coordinator will begin following that person’s care at the hospital, gathering important clinical information that will help the facility staff provide a seamless transition from hospital to rehabilitation or long term care.
If you are paying privately or have a co-payment under your insurance benefit, the Admission Coordinator will inform you of the amount due to the facility. You or your representative will need to bring a check on the day of admission for the amount due.
All billing is provided as a service to our customers. We will bill private and supplemental insurances and HMO’s. Insurance benefits will be verified prior to admission whenever possible. Continued stays under insurance will be certified and re-certified as required by the insurance company, however, this is not a guarantee of payment.
